The rule set used on this site
Blackjack rules vary by casino. So the "correct" answers here are unambiguous, this trainer teaches basic strategy for the most common shoe-game rule set found at U.S. casinos:
- 6 decks, shuffled together in a shoe
- Dealer stands on all 17s, including soft 17 (S17)
- Double down allowed on any first two cards
- Double after split allowed (DAS)
- Split up to one resplit (two hands) per starting pair
- Split Aces receive exactly one card each, with no further action
- Late surrender is available
- Blackjack pays 3:2
See the Casino Rules page for what changes if your casino's rules differ.
